IWC (International Watch Company) is best known for its luxury pilot/aviation watches and for being a pioneer for their use of ceramic and titanium watch making. IWC is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The brand was originally founded by Florentine Arosto Jones, an American watch maker, in 1868. In 1880 the brand was transferred to the Rauschenback family and has been a subsidiary of the Swiss Richemont Group since 2000.
